Moving into Adoring Care Assisted Living is a simple and supportive process:

1. Tour Our Facility: Contact us to schedule a visit and explore our home-like environment, meet our staff, and ask questions.

2. Initial Assessment: Once you decide that Adoring Care is the right fit, we’ll conduct a comprehensive assessment to understand your loved one’s unique needs, preferences, and care requirements.

3. Sign the Agreement: Review and sign our residency agreement, which outlines the services we’ll provide and the terms of care.

4. Personalize the Space: Move in and personalize the room with favorite furniture, décor, or personal items to make it feel like home.

5. Welcome and Transition Support: Our caring team will be there every step of the way to help your loved one settle in, meet other residents, and adjust to their new surroundings.

Can residents bring their own furniture?

Yes, absolutely! We encourage residents to bring personal furniture and belongings to make their room feel like home. Many residents choose to bring items such as:

  • A favorite chair or recliner.

  • A bed

  • Nightstands, lamps, or a small dresser.

  • Photos, artwork, and personal decorations.

Our team will help ensure the room is arranged comfortably and safely. If you have any questions about what’s allowed, just let us know!

We understand the importance of nutrition and accommodating dietary restrictions. Our kitchen staff prepares three home-cooked meals daily and snacks, with consideration for:

  • Dietary restrictions (e.g., diabetic, low-sodium, gluten-free).

  • Allergies and sensitivities.

  • Preferences or cultural requirements.

We also welcome feedback from residents and families to ensure everyone enjoys their meals!

Are there visiting hours for family and friends?

We believe in fostering strong family connections and encourage regular visits! While we do have general visiting hours to ensure the comfort and routine of our residents, we strive to be flexible based on family needs. Visiting hours are typically from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, but exceptions can be made for special circumstances.

Family members are always welcome to join us for meals and activities! We kindly ask for a little advance notice so we can ensure a warm and seamless experience for everyone.

What safety measures are in place at Adoring Care?

The safety of our residents is our top priority. Our facility is equipped with:

  • Grab bars in bathrooms and hallways.

  • Emergency call systems in all rooms for immediate staff assistance.

  • Fire alarms, smoke detectors, and sprinklers throughout the facility.

  • Non-slip flooring and step-free entryways to prevent falls.

  • A secure environment to prevent wandering (if applicable for memory care residents)

  • We also use smart device to monitor our residence to insure we are providing the best possible care.

Our staff is trained in first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures.

What types of activities are available for residents?

We believe in keeping our residents engaged socially, mentally, and physically. Activities include:

  • Group exercises and light fitness classes.

  • Arts and crafts workshops.

  • Game nights, including bingo, cards, and puzzles.

  • Movie nights and music therapy sessions.

  • Holiday celebrations, family events.

  • We also use smart device to monitor our residence to insure we are providing the best possible care.

We also take into account individual preferences and encourage residents to suggest activities they enjoy.

Can residents keep their own doctor or healthcare provider?

Yes, residents are encouraging to continue seeing their preferred healthcare providers.

Are pets allowed in the facility?

Residents are not permitted to have pets live with them, but we are excited to provide opportunities for interaction with animals through scheduled pet visitation events. These events feature therapy animals and other friendly pets brought in to brighten our residents' days.

Additionally, we encourage families to consider purchasing a JOY FOR ALL Companion Pet for Seniors. These lifelike companion pets can provide comfort and companionship for residents who may miss having a pet of their own. What happens if a resident’s needs change over time?

We are equipped to adjust care plans as a resident’s needs evolve. Whether it’s an increased need for assistance with daily activities or transitioning to more intensive care, our team will work closely with the resident and their family to ensure appropriate support is provided.
